COVID-19 Policies & Safety Plan - Effective From May 20th, 2020

COVID-19 Policies and Safety Plan for Clients 

-If you have symptoms or have cared for anyone having symptoms of COVID-19, please reschedule your appointment.

-Screening using a touchless thermometer will be done before any service.

-Answering our on-site questionnaire will be required before any service.

-Non-medical masks must be worn by everyone at all times.

-Hand sanitizer will be provided and required upon entering our salon.

-Social distancing must remain in place, other than the stylist and the client they are working with.

-One person in the waiting room at a time, so please wait outside or in your vehicle until your appointment time. 

-Contactless payment is preferred but cash will still be accepted.

-Please refrain from touching our retail products and ask our receptionist for help instead. If you do need to look at the product, please place it on the front counter once you're done so we can properly sanitize it.

-Beverages will not be provided unless needed, for which we have disposable cups.

-Leave jackets, coffee cups, drinks and personal items in your vehicle.

-Phone or email bookings@contourshair.ca for appointments.

-Shoppers please be aware of people in the waiting room and keep your social distance.

-Come unaccompanied, unless accompaniment is necessary.

-No beard or mustache trims at this time.

-No shampoo sets, shampoo blow-drys, or blowouts at this time.

-Avoid shaking hands or hugging your stylist.

-Be aware that our stylists have probably been talking about COVID-19 all day so they may want to talk about something different!

We have limited our occupancy to 13 people to allow us to practice social distancing and help ensure our staff and clients’ safety by limiting the transmission of COVID-19.

COVID-19 Policies and Safety Plan for Employees

-Masks must be worn at all times.

-Hands must be washed/sanitized upon entering and leaving the salon, before and after all clients, after touching used towels, capes, products, tools, delivery items and periodically throughout the day.

-Screening using a touchless thermometer will be done before each shift.

-Work stations must have the appropriate social distance.

-Avoid sharing of tools and products. If required, make sure it is properly sanitized.

-No reusing towels or capes, they must be washed after every client.

-Use only the tools and products that can be cleaned and disinfected.

-Blow-drying only when it is essential, and masks must remain on.

-Workstations must be cleaned and disinfected between all clients.

-Payment machine must be cleaned after every client.

-Regularly clean high-touch surfaces throughout the day, including retail products.

-Washrooms must be disinfected and cleaned regularly.

-No more than 2 people in our break room at a time, unless mixing colour.

-Business cards will only be given if needed for an appointment reminder.

-The receptionist will be the only staff allowed to answer the phone, book clients and collect payment from behind the safety plexiglass.

-No neck brushes.

-Lunch and breaks will be staggered.

-Avoid shaking hands or hugging your clients.

-Avoid touching your face (eyes, nose and mouth) while providing services to clients.
